Salt Creek Beach Wedding – Maggie & Henry

Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point is a favorite of Orange County Couples wishing to marry on the sand, with the ocean as their backdrop. The coordinator that handles weddings at this gem of a venue is Simone Goertzen, of Orange County Beach Weddings. We’re thrilled Simone has made us the preferred caterer for the weddings here. Who wouldn’t love to work with nature all around you? Our event producer, Pam Aki gives her all to the couples planning their weddings at Salt Creek Beach. She takes great care in assisting them to choose the perfect menu for their day. Recently Maggie and Henry worked with Pam to design a menu that complimented their beach front wedding. Even though it seems like a casual setting, the couple desired a more formal meal for their guests. Their wedding day turned out to be beautiful. From the weather, to the decor, and especially the food, it was spectacular. Just look at the smile on their faces. We think that says it all! Doctor Who Inspired Wedding

The latest television sensation taking America by storm is Doctor Who. This British television hit has been around since the 1960’s, but is only recently becoming a favorite on this side of the pond. So much so, that couples are choosing to have Doctor Who Inspired weddings. We were lucky to be part of such an event with Rebel Belle Weddings.  With a little research and creativity, event producer Veronica Medrano designed an entire menu around the show for a wedding at Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood. It takes a special talent to incorporate a strong visual theme into a wedding, Veronica was able to do just that. Not only did Veronica create the menu, but she also worked with our in-house graphics team to create colorful and engaging graphics for the food stations, that incorporated the Doctor Who theme throughout the entire event. From tray passed appetizers, to beverage stations, and the buffet, the theme was carried through seamlessly. A Lobster Boil on The Sand at Bolsa Chica

Summertime means beach parties. And what’s better fare for a beach party than shellfish? Our Sales Director Tyler Huff, recently produced the Bolsa Chica Conservancy Annual Barefoot Ball Gala. The event was complete with a lobster boil, steel drum players, a charity auction, and lots and lots of toes in the sand. A bold white tented structure, surrounded by wood plank fencing, marked the spot in the sand at Bolsa Chica Beach where the party would take place. Decor included lanterns filled with sand and sea shells, galvanized metal buckets filled with beach grasses, and an abundance of candles in clear glass containers. Linens were crisp and white with burlap table runners, that danced gracefully in the breeze. A cozy lounge was set up for casual conversation with warm blankets to ward off any chill. This was a lobster boil to rival those seen on the East Coast. Galvanized metal bins were used to serve the seafood, sausages, and corn. Tyler knows how to take a theme, and push it over the top through food, decor and details. This menu delighted everyone who attended. We’re drooling reliving this day!
